Reflect on your daily life with greater attention and rediscover the meaning of failure through the 2024 KAIST Failure Photovoice Program. If you are struggling because of a failure or rejection that you have yet to recover from, throw it all away into CAF’s <Disposal Bin for Rejections> and fill in the void with the courage to start anew.
What is the KAIST Failure Photovoice Program?
-
This program gives KAISTians the opportunity to capture their failure moments and share their thoughts and experiences with others.
-
Some of the collected photovoice entries will be archived online and showcased through an on-campus photo exhibition (scheduled for November).
-
You can find the works from last year’s Failure Photovoice Program via this link.

How do I participate in the 2024 Failure Photovoice Program?
- Take photos that capture your failure moments or instances when you experience the feeling of failing, then upload these photos with captions. [Upload link : https://forms.gle/wsV6y2YdDV2MMXnb6]
- The 2024 Failure Photovoice Program will have two themes.
- [1] Moments of Failure : Capture moments that can be linked to ‘failure,’ ‘the feeling of failing,’ or ‘a philosophy about failure’ and submit them with captions.
- [2] Disposal Bin for Rejections : Submit photos showing moments of rejection (instances when you failed to pass something or receive approval) and include descriptions of emotions/thoughts that you want to throw away with these moments.
- The submission period for photos and captions is from May 20th to August 31st.
- Multiple entries are allowed. One person can submit multiple photos for a theme and submit photos for both theme categories (once the submission period is over, the 3 participants with the most submissions from each theme category will receive prizes).
What are the distinctions between the two contest themes?
